Positive: Best accommodation we stayed in. We loved this fully renovated 150 year old cottage with amazing views across your own lake and rolling hills. The communication with the hosts was great and they made sure the house was warm and the lights on for our late arrival. The cottage has everything you need and was better than we expected from the description and pictures. We had the fire going and it felt like a home away from home, we only wished we had stayed longer and will definitely be back one day!
Negative: We didn’t stay long enough!
Summary: Excellent old, but new cottage that will have you wanting to stay longer!

Positive: Catherine, the owner, was very warm and welcoming. The booking and check-in information were all communicated very well, and it was a straightforward process. The cottage is a beautiful rural setting, it is very tranquil and peaceful, which suited us as we wanted a quiet few days. The cottage is like a showhouse, beautifully finished and spotlessly clean, with beautiful views of the surrounding countryside. It is equipped with everything you would need, a home from home. We would highly recommend Bernard and Catherine's fabulous cottage.
Negative: There was absolutely nothing not to like. We noted that they are taking steps to camouflage the shed beside the cottage with plants, which will soften the entrance, but it's a working farm, so sheds are normal. As an avid gardener, I think some colourful flowers in the pots on the patio would be the cherry on the cake.
